What It Means To Have an AARP Card
Carrying AARP card, means I'm a part of an organization that serves the community in every conceivable area, trying to make life better for everyone.
If you're carrying an AARP card, first of all, you know that you are a member of one of the most influential organizations in this country, in terms of speaking out on behalf of those aged 50 and above.
Of course that card will open the door to a lot of travel discounts, a lot of hotel discounts, a lot of benefits and good pricing brakes on a lot of things, but that's not the most important thing, most of all you know that you're one of 39 million Americans, who is associated with this organization, that's out trying to serve community from the national right down to the the grassroots level, providing community service, providing volunteerism, providing information and education on just a whole range of topics.
So in the end, carrying that AARP card, says I'm one of a 39 million member contingent around the country, that's interested in aging issues, and I'm a part of an organization that serves the community in every conceivable area, in information, and education and volunteerism, in trying to make life better for everyone, and there's a strong powerful voice at the national level, speaking up in behalf of me and others age 50-plus.
